Portable Tapestry Loom
Tapestry weaving is considered by many to be the most personal of all weaving. The Schacht Portable Tapestry Loom holds a continuous warp under tension. Sheds are formed through the use of heddle bars and string heddles. While only two heddle bars are needed for traditional tapestry weaving, the Schacht loom comes with four heddle bars, so that beginning weavers can experiment with 4-shaft pattern weaving. To keep the warp tension even throughout the weaving, this loom has a tension beam with thumbscrews on the end, which allows for easy adjustment. The continuous warping system allows a 60" long warp to be put directly on the loom without using any other warping tools. Available in the weaving widths below, the Schacht Portable Tapestry Loom is finely crafted of hard maple and is rubbed with a Danish oil finish. Instructions for easy assembly and warping are included.

Inkle Loom
The Inkle Loom is a loom every weaver should have. It's great for weaving belts and bands. This compact loom is also a favorite in school settings because it is easy to set up and quick to finish a project. The Schacht Inkle loom is built with years of heavy use in mind. It is open on one side for quick and uncomplicated warping. Hardwood dowels are pressed deep into the hard maple frame; tension bar has an easy grip. The loom will hold a variety of warp sized up to 4½ inches wide and 8½ feet long. The Inkle Loom comes fully assembled and includes instructions for warping and beginning to weave. $75

School Loom
What's most important in a loom for young weavers is that it ensures success. Schacht has designed this simple frame loom to do just that. It has a 15" weaving width, a built-in stand for upright use on the floor or a table top, plus durable, 6 per inch, plastic warp spacers for uniform warping. Students of all ages will find it easy to use. Included with each loom are two pick-up sticks, a weaving needle, and simple warping and weaving instructions.
