Pats New Batt Maker or the project maker 4 oz - $750

Fall of 2010 Susan asked Patrick to design a carder that had a built in Burnishing tool. Bigger drum size. Holding about 4.8 oz. this carder met the needs. Susan also wanted to have the tools held in place like the doffer stick so it did not get lost on the table of fiber. Deb Menz after trying out the carder at SOAR gave it a thumbs up.Susan loves this carder to do Art Batts.

The Blender $750

The Blender/Carder has a dual speed feature and amazingly easy speed change design, smooth ball-bearing action, larger diameter swift.. Dual Purpose Burnishing Tool- either used by hand to stroke periodically on the main cylinder during batt building, or placed in its nest at the rear of the machine to lightly burnish the batt.The Blender can be used anywhere on the table, no clamps.

The carder was build as a two speed carder that was hand cranked. It is very good for all fibers including rabbit hair. I recommend this carder for all exotic fibers. The beauty of the Green carders is the ability to do all different types of fiber. It is an easy cranking carder.
