Mirrix Loom

Designed by a professional tapestry weaver, the Mirrix Tapestry and Bead Looms provide you with a lifetime of tapestry or bead weaving enjoyment. Whether you are a beginning weaver purchasing your first loom or a seasoned artist ending the search for the perfect portable loom, you will be thrilled with their precision and ease of use.

How can Mirrix Looms do both Tapestry Weaving and Bead Weaving?
The Principals that govern the weaving of a tapestry and beads are identical. The loom for each needs to be sturdy, perfectly square and balanced. For each art form warps are attached to the loom and kept under high, even tension. With our system for weaving, a shedding device can be employed for both tapestry and beads. You can still use the other method of bead weaving (using a needle to sew back through your beads to anchor them to the warp threads), but with the Mirrix Loom you have the option of using the warp threads, which are separated by engaging the shedding device (not pictured on this page), to lock the beads in place. This opens up many new possibilities. You will be weaving your beads from left to right and then right to left. An entire step is eliminated, allowing you to weave faster. It also allows you to combine bead weaving and tapestry weaving to create an entirely new medium. The other exceptional bonus of using the shedding device is that when you are finished weaving your bead piece you can pull the continuous warp through to create four finished selvedges! This is a function of how the loom is warped and the fact that you are never catching the warp threads with your needle. The Mirrix loom is the best and most innovative bead loom available.

The Mini-Mirrix
Named after our late take-us-anywhere horse Loreli, this is the perfect take-anywhere loom to add to your collection. Weighing only a pound and a half and measuring 5" across, this loom is versatile, simple, and fits any budget. The mini-mirrix was designed with the on-the-go bead weaver in mind... for those of us who always need a bead loom in our purse. The mini-mirrix comes with a 14-dent spring and does not have a shedding device. At l only slightly more than 100, the mini-mirrix is every beader's dream.

Price: $115

The LaniLoom

LaniloomThe LaniLoom is designed to accommodate the needs of bead weavers who want a small, simple, but entirely functional bead loom and who plan to needle weave their pieces. The Laniloom does not have a shedding device. Warps are separated by either the one included warp coil (14 epi - the perfect size for 11/0 or delica beads) or a string of beads tied to the top beam of the loom. One leg folds out to stand the loom upright. Although simple, this loom is as sturdy and carefully designed as all Mirrix looms. It's just a little smaller, a little simpler, for a pared down price. 8" loom: $155

Little Guy Lap & Table Loom

Little Guy LoomThis small loom is only 12 inches wide, and weighs in at a featherweight of 5 lbs. Don't be fooled by it's size: the Little Guy is as strong and durable as any loom made by Mirrix. He's just a little smaller so you can weave on the go. Although he is great for use as a tapestry loom, this is a favorite size among bead weavers. This little loom is extremely portable and provides a maximum weaving width of 9½ inches wide and approximately 22 inches high. Put him on your lap, or stand him on a table. He is available with or without a shedding device.
12" loom: $230
w/o shedding device:

Big Sister Lap & Table Loom

Big Sister

At 16 inches wide and a little less than 6 lbs, she's bigger and has been around longer than her little brother. Bigger does not always mean a lot more expensive. A tapestry 13½ inches wide and approximately 30 inches high can be woven on this compact loom. She can fit in a large canvas bag and like her little brother is well acquainted with travel in airplanes, cars and trains. Bead weavers who want that extra width or use combined tapestry and beading techniques will find this loom very appealing. She also works as well on your lap as standing on a table and, like her little brother is available with or without a shedding device.
16" loom: $250
w/o shedding device:

The 22 Inch Table Loom

The Zach Loom

22 Inch LoomLight and sturdy, the 22 inch loom provides a larger weaving width and length than the lap looms while remaining light and portable. It is light enough to take to a workshop and easily stores in a closet. The 22 inch loom weighs in at a mere 11 pounds and provides a 19 inch weaving width and approximately 40 inches in weaving length

The Joni Loom

Weighing in at only 14 pounds, the 32 inch loom is easily carted from room to room, the summer cottage, or to a workshop. Large enough to weave a piece 29 inches wide and approximately 44 inches long, this loom is a favorite among people who want the size of a small floor loom but not the hassle, expense, and bulk. This loom is engineered slightly differently than the other three looms, providing a double top and lower beam for extra strength.

Price: $430.00

The Zues Loom
Our latest addition will satisfy those of you who can't help but think big. The weaving width on this loom is 35 inches and the weaving height is 46 inches. Weighing in at 18 pounds it is still portable and easily carted from room to room.

Warping Bar / Texslov Cord Package

We've discovered a new way to warp the Mirrix bead loom that eliminates the warp in back making it easier to weave wide bead pieces on any of the Mirrix Looms. The package includes an extra warping bar, 3 yards of texslov cord, and special pegs to attach the texslov cord to the warping bars. You don't have to warp your Mirrix this way for weaving beads, but it's a nice alternative and adds yet another dimension to ways you can use the Mirrix loom to fit your special weaving needs. $15 fits any loom
